Community integration is designed to help people improve their personal, social, and vocational skills in order to live more successfully in the community. Activities are determined by the needs of the person served, therefore settings can vary from the home to the community.
Community integration allows for opportunities for individuals to learn skills through various activities including but limited to the following:
- Communication activities
- Spiritual activities
- Cultural activities
- Vocational pursuits
- Development of work attitudes
- Employment activities
- Development of living skills
